bulliebear.com (“Platform”) is operated by Bharra Brothers, a sole proprietorship registered under the Udyam Registration scheme. This Privacy Policy explains how bulliebear.com (“Platform,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. It is drafted with reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), and applies to all users of the Platform.
bulliebear.com is a financial planning tool. All personal and financial information used on the Platform — including income, assets, liabilities, expenses, and planning goals — is entered directly and voluntarily by the client through manual data entry. We do not connect to, retrieve data from, or receive information from any bank, financial institution, Account Aggregator, or similar data-sharing intermediary. We do not collect, access, or store any banking login credentials, passwords, OTPs, or account-linking tokens at any time.

Where you provide information about a spouse or dependent, you confirm you have their authority (or, for minor children, parental authority) to share this information with us for the purpose of financial planning.
By creating an account and entering information on the Platform, you provide clear, specific, and informed consent to our collection and use of that information as described in this Policy, for the purpose of providing financial planning calculations, assessments, and recommendations. Consent for each category of information is obtained at the point you choose to provide it, and is not bundled with consent for any other purpose. Where you provide information relating to a spouse or dependent, you confirm you have the authority to do so on their behalf. You may withdraw your consent at any time through your account settings; withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal, but may limit or end your ability to use the Platform’s services. Consent for any future feature that shares your information externally (including social sharing features) will be requested separately, at the time such a feature is used.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal or financial information to any third party in bulk or as a standalone data product. Where the Platform identifies that a third-party product or service (such as an insurance policy, loan, or goal-specific service) may be relevant to you, based on the information you have provided, we may display this as an in-app suggestion. Your information is shared with that specific third party only if you choose to act on the suggestion, at which point we will request your separate, specific consent before sharing any information with that party. We receive compensation from these third parties when you engage with their offers through the Platform; this is how we generate revenue from these features, in addition to any subscription fees. Where a suggestion relates to information about a spouse or dependent, it is directed to and actionable only by the account holder, and is subject to the same specific-consent requirement as any other referral. We do not share your expense information, goal details, or any other information with third parties for their own independent marketing, profiling, or advertising purposes outside the specific referral you have consented to.
We retain your information for as long as your account remains active, since the Platform is designed for ongoing plan tracking and revision rather than a one-time calculation. If your account is inactive for 24 months, we will notify you before your data is scheduled for deletion. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal and financial information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records (such as billing records) to comply with applicable law — Indian tax and accounting regulations generally require financial transaction records to be retained for 6 to 8 years, and this retention applies only to billing/payment records, not your financial planning data. Data may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period after deletion from active systems, after which it is permanently purged as part of our routine backup cycle. Where your information has been shared with a third party under Clause 5 at your request, that third party’s own retention practices govern their copy of that information, and we encourage you to review their privacy policy separately. We may retain and use information in an anonymized or aggregated form, from which you cannot be identified, for an indefinite period for analytics and product improvement.
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
Encryption in transit via TLS for all data moving between your device and our servers, and encryption at rest for all stored data.
Access controls limiting employee/system access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
Payment processing through a PCI-DSS compliant processor; we do not store your card details on our own servers at any point.
Authentication managed through a secure identity provider.
We work with vetted infrastructure and service providers (including cloud hosting, database, caching, error-monitoring, analytics, and email-delivery providers) who process data solely on our instructions and under confidentiality obligations, and never for their own independent purposes.
Our current sub-processors are: Clerk (sign-in and account management), Supabase (the encrypted cloud database that stores your saved plans, reports, and account details), Vercel (application hosting and content delivery), and Google (Google Sign-In and Google Analytics). Where you make a payment, it is processed by Razorpay; we never receive or store your card, UPI, net-banking, or bank-account credentials. Each sub-processor acts only on our instructions, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
Error-monitoring tools used for debugging are configured to exclude sensitive personal and financial fields from logs.
In the event of a personal data breach affecting your information, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and you, as required under applicable law. While we take these measures seriously, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your information may be stored and processed on servers located in India or in other countries where our service providers operate. Where information is transferred outside India, we do so in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules, which permit such transfers except to any country or territory the Central Government of India may specifically restrict by notification; we will comply with any such restriction if and when notified. If you are located outside India — including NRI users — your information may still be processed in India and other jurisdictions as described in this Policy. Where you are a resident of a jurisdiction with its own data protection law (such as the European Union or United Kingdom), you may have additional rights under that law with respect to your information, and you may contact us using the details in Clause 10 to exercise them.
As a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
Right to access — a summary of the personal data we hold about you, the processing activities we carry out, and the identities of any third parties with whom your data has been shared (including under Clause 5).
Right to correction and completion — to correct inaccurate information or complete incomplete information in your profile.
Right to erasure — to request deletion of your personal data, subject to the retention exceptions described in Clause 6.
Right to withdraw consent — as described in Clause 3, at any time, through your account settings.
Right to grievance redressal — to raise concerns about how your data is handled, as described in Clause 10.
Right to nominate — to nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
You may exercise any of these rights by contacting us using the details in Clause 10. We will respond within the timeline required under applicable law.
In providing information to the Platform, you agree to ensure it is accurate and not impersonate another person or knowingly provide false information — this is a requirement placed on you as a Data Principal under the Act, not just an obligation on us as the Data Fiduciary.
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, if you have any grievance regarding the processing of your personal data, you may contact our Grievance Officer at:
Name: Yogesh Bharra
Designation: Founder & Grievance Officer
Email: grievance@bulliebear.com
We will acknowledge your grievance within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days of receipt. If you are not satisfied with our response, or do not receive a response within the applicable period, you may escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.
Cookies & Tracking Technologies. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how the Platform is used and to improve its functionality. This includes analytics tools that collect information about your interactions with the Platform, such as pages visited and features used. This data is used solely to improve the Platform and is not shared with third parties for their own advertising purposes. You may control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect Platform functionality.
Children’s Data. The Platform is intended for use by individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. Where a client provides information about a minor child as part of financial planning (such as a child’s age, for goal-planning purposes), this is provided by the client under the representation described in Clause 3, and is used solely for the purpose of the client’s own financial planning.
Changes to This Policy. We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this Policy, and for material changes, we will provide notice through the Platform or via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect, except where a shorter period is necessitated by an emergency relating to data security or is required by applicable law.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction. This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
At the end of your session, the Platform generates a shareable summary of your financial health score and selected achievement metrics (“the Wrap”). The Wrap displays a score and gamified indicators (such as goals funded, years to work-optional status, and similar figures) — it does not display your raw account balances, income, or specific asset or liability amounts.
The Wrap is only generated and made available to you; it is not shared, published, or transmitted anywhere by us automatically. You may choose to download it as an image file, or share it directly to a third-party platform (such as Instagram, WhatsApp, X, or Snapchat) using the sharing options provided. This action is entirely your choice — we do not access your social media accounts to do this on your behalf. Once you share the Wrap outside the Platform, we have no control over its further distribution, and this Policy no longer governs it.
At the end of your session, we may invite you to share feedback about your experience with the Platform, including a star rating, selections describing what you loved or think could be improved, and any additional comments you choose to add (“Feedback”). Providing Feedback is optional.
We use Feedback internally to understand how clients experience the Platform and to guide future product improvements.
Where you separately consent, at the point of submitting Feedback, to your review being displayed as a testimonial, we may publish your star rating, comments, name, city, and profile picture on the Platform, our marketing materials, or our social media channels. This consent is distinct from, and not required for, submitting Feedback for our internal use alone. You may withdraw this consent and request removal of a published testimonial at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer; we will remove it within a reasonable time, though we cannot guarantee removal from any copies already cached, shared, or archived outside our direct control.
If you choose to refer another individual to the Platform, you may provide us with their name, relationship to you, phone number, email address, and optionally their city and any additional notes (“Referral Information”). This information is provided by you, not by the referred individual directly.
By submitting Referral Information, you confirm that you have the referred individual’s permission to share their details with us and that they are willing to be contacted. You are responsible for the accuracy of this representation.
We use Referral Information solely to contact the referred individual about the Platform. We do not add Referral Information to any ongoing marketing list, use it for any purpose beyond this single outreach, or share it with any third party. If the referred individual does not become a Platform user, we will delete their Referral Information within 180 days of receipt.
A referred individual has the same rights described in Clause 9 of this Policy with respect to their own information, even though they are not a Platform user — including the right to request deletion of their Referral Information or to opt out of being contacted, by reaching our Grievance Officer using the details in Clause 10.
If bulliebear.com is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring or surviving entity as part of that transaction. Any such transfer will remain subject to the terms of this Policy, or a policy that provides materially equivalent protections, unless you separately consent to different terms. We will notify you of any such transaction that materially changes how your information is handled.
The financial health score, recommendations, and other outputs generated by the Platform (as described in Clause 4) are produced through automated calculation based on the information you provide, applying predetermined formulas and assumptions. No output of the Platform results in any decision that produces a legal effect concerning you or similarly significantly affects you — the Platform does not approve or deny you access to any financial product, service, or opportunity; it generates informational calculations for your own consideration, and any resulting action is taken by you, not by the Platform.
The Platform relies on your own declaration, made when you accept our Terms of Use, that you are 18 years of age or older. We do not independently verify your age through any government identity document or other means. If we become aware that an account has been created by someone under 18, we will take reasonable steps to close the account and delete the associated data.
We do not currently send promotional or marketing communications. If we introduce this in the future, it will be subject to your separate, specific opt-in consent, distinct from your consent to use the Platform, and every communication will include a straightforward way to unsubscribe.
We do not collect or request government-issued identity numbers (such as Aadhaar, PAN, or passport numbers), bank account numbers, biometric identifiers, or your passwords for any third-party service. Card details entered for a payment are handled and tokenized directly by our payment processor, as described in Clause 7 — they never reach or pass through our own servers.
Note: this section is intended to also appear in bulliebear.com’s Terms of Service — it is included here for completeness, not because the Privacy Policy is the right permanent home for it.
